spent most of the day on saturday installing windows ME on my father's machine, because it had been acting strange, and had been installed badly. the installer told me thirty to sixty minutes, but almost two hours later, i was still watching it install itself. but it went smoothly, considering that i'd never installed me before.
that night, i went to see some monks demonstrate their mad skills, but i think that i went to the wrong show, because it seemed like a theatrical production of people dressed up like monks, but who were acrobats in normal life. there were some mad skills dislpayed, but the mojority of the whole thing seemed like they had spend months practicing the choreography.
all in all, it was a bit of a dissapointment.
sunday, i spent the day doing nothing. as i tend to spend my sundays lately. i had to keep reminding myself that it was sunday. but that doesn't seem to usually work.
today, my desk was supposed to be there when i got in. and i got in early. but it wasn't there. my stuff didn't even get there until after eleven, and the desks themselves didn't arrive until after four, when i left. so i didn't get anything accomplished at work today, other than sitting through a somwhat boring two hour meeting.
then i went with sean to get a gamepad for his old computer. as we're walking into compusa, the alarm thingies went off when he walked through the door, so they abducted our bags while we shopped. then we took a cab from compusa to his house. which in itself was intersting.
the cabbie was a genuine rastafarian. (i think i spelled that right) and he drove life a maniac. he was making lanes for himself and everything. then he got cut off by this guy in a ryder truck. the truck cut us so close, that he fcuked up the driver side side view mirrior. (it seems silly to type side there twice in a row, but i just did, so you can live with it.) so the cabbie got really pissed. he cut off over five people just to catch up with the guy, cut the ryder truck off, stop, and procede to get out and start yelling at the drive of the truck.
all while the meter was running. it was amusing. and sean has a new game. tony hawk pro skater 2 which, by the way is the shit. we set up a network, and played head to head.
now, my thumbs hurt.
