well. back online, and attempting to catch up. it's been a while.
i moved to the other side of town into a great house. i moved, and immediatly painted my bedroom. it's a beautiful blue (pictures to come) that makes me happy every time i walk into the room. i finally finished cleaning up the old apartment today, and handed in the keys. i still have to get my mail forwarded, but i don't feel like dealing with the post office.
fotojournal is more backed up than ever, with no end in sight. jim and i have been spending all day trying to get my desktop online wirelessly, without having to run hundreds of feet of cat5, to no avail. all the photos are on the desktop, and it's not online, so no new fotos. sorry.
the past weeks have been mostly uneventful, enjoying doing absolutely nothing. but, the fact that there's almost no stress right now is helping. someone told me the other day that i seem "calm" lately. and that's about what i feel. unpacking and moving was a bitch, but i now feel like i really live in california.
we've got a kick-ass home theater setup at the house, with something new to me, a tivo. tivo is the coolest thing ever. i can record the movies and shows that i want to watch, without having to remember when they're on, and make sure that i set aside time to watch them. the other benefit of tivo, in my opinion is the guide. at&t digital cable has the worst "guide" in history, which i plainly stated to the tech there yesterday. but, tivo has a very nice and useful guide that pulls information from at&t's guide.
the best part about the new place: i can sit out back on the deck, late at night, with a smoke, a glass of wine, and my laptop, and be online with the stars shining above. oh. the stars. it's been such a long time since i've been far enough away from the city to see all the stars that i go out almost every night just to stare up at them. another thing to make me happy.
so, i'm back. did you miss me?
